Welcome to Chelmsford Film Festival
Chelmsford Film Festival is an annual 4-day film festival dedicated to showcasing the best features, shorts and music videos by filmmakers from around the world.
A true celebration of film culture, CFF gives filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their films to a fresh new audience. The festival features talks from industry professionals, workshops, screenings and networking opportunities, all rounded off with an awards ceremony and closing party.
The team behind the festival is made up of filmmakers, film lovers and industry professionals who are all driven to make Chelmsford City a true hotbed for the film industry.
Based in the heart of Essex, Chelmsford City is known for its many festivals and events including the renowned V Music Festival. However, the city is probably best known for being the birthplace of broadcast, with Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi inventing the wireless in the 1890’s and making the first entertainment broadcast in June 1920. CFF therefore shares its anniversary month with the first entertainment broadcast.
Whether you’re a filmmaker or a film lover, we hope to see you at CFF 2018!
